The chips are great! There is no pain, and they are protected for life.
We had a friend who's furbaby was stolen, the only way the police knew for sure it was hers, was that chip. The people who took her had pictures that looked just like her. If that chip wasn't there, it would have been a court case.

I was also at the Vets Office one day, someone came in with a puppy. They had a funny feeling it wasn't there's and they were right, they scanned the pup and it was stolen form someones yard. I asked how they knew to check, they said it was the look on her face & it looked like a pup who was in for shots the week before. When I was driving away, the Police pulled up, guess it wasn't going to be someones day.
Princess is with me 24-7 but you never know, so I had all my furbabies chipped as soon as they came home.
