Because I am not in the best shape most of our hikes are on the lower levels of difficulty. They are mostly paths in state parks and the terrain isn't too bad. I really think Teek will do better than me and probably be hiking circles around me waiting for me to keep up.

I will let him set the pace for the most part to see what he can handle, unless he is having to wait on me, then I guess I will be the one setting the pace, as usual. I hold up my entire family when hiking. I try though, I really do.

We are planning late May/early June for our first hike. Unfortunately we have been really busy lately on the weekends. We will see how he does.

I had not thought about burrs and I will be sure to watch for stuff like that. I had thought about ticks and fleas. I am trying to see if I can grow out Teek's hair, so not sure how that will work for hiking, but we will give it a try soon.
