I have watched All My Children for years and years. I also started watching GH, and really liked Courtney. I found out that I have been working with Alecia's dad for a few years now. In fact, I just worked with him yesterday. I asked him why she was leaving the show and not renewing her contract. He said she decided that if she signed up for another 4 year contract, she felt like she'd be to old to pursue some of the roles she wanted to try out for. I think she wants to see if she can get any big-screen roles, as well as other TV roles. He said, if that didn't work out -- she would consider going back! When I questioned how she would come back as Courtney -- he merely answered "It's a Soap Opera -- anything can happen!" So, although I wish the best for her -- I really hope she comes back!
