Hmm Yorkies don't have ankles. But my Moki can hike moderate 5 miles without me picking him up or needing a rest.Or wanting to be picked up. But week walk 1/2 mile everyday rain or shine at least. Just start with an easy one. Moki is a larger just under7 lbs ..10 1/2 tall Yorkie. Sunday I'm talking Winnie 3lbs also. But I will carry them if needed or take a rest.
