I had a super large deck and porch in my last house. I did have the metal (coated white) gates up on all the openings. We used the kind that was a gate within a gate. They worked perfectly and were easy for us humans to get in and out. I've been there with the stepping over the gates, just to save time,lol. Not fun. I'm in a condo now and had an actual matching deck gate installed. its super sturdy, and really not that expensive to have done. If you have someone handy, its worth getting. Plus it can also be a child safety gate, depending on the type of latch you use. |
