My Yorkies never ate furniture. I did have a Shih Tzu puppy(shark-dog), ate everything in the kitchen, sheet rock walls, chair legs, molding,etc. After 3 days of destroying the kitchen, had to keep her in an x-pen, since nothing detered her chewing, not even tabasco sauce. I actually housebroke her in her x-pen on a wee pad in a holder. She had freedom only when I could sit on the floor and play and watch her. When she finished teething, this behavoir ended. She turned out to be a great dog.
Hang in there and x-pen or crate her when unsupervised.
