My step-dad owns racehorses (unfortunately none in the Derby

) but they are treated better than most people's pet dogs (besides us, of course

). There are definite bad apples in every industry, but for the most part, they're treated extremely well. I visit the horses often and they're all very friendly as well and most of them also love my 7 year old sister. One of my stepdads horses that got injured as a youngin' and my stepdad wasn't comfortable letting him race, he made zero money on him (well lost money) and he's now living his life out on a beautiful farm with an amazing owner... I keep in touch w/ her through FB. He is a very well loved horse.
