Haha, I agree on the math teacher fitting that quote.
A couple I love are:
"Just because someone doesn't love you the way YOU want to be loved, doesn't mean they don't love you with everything they have."
And this one helped me be a better parent because when my kids became teenagers, they knew I meant what I said...
"Never make a promise you don't intend to keep."
