Food Hello! I may have missed it on here, but is there a consensus on which dog food is Nutritious and good tasting, for our best little friends? I'm about due for a new bag, and it would be a good time to try out something new. I always give them about 75% dry and 25% canned (I do that because they simply love canned so much).
The dry they've eaten most of their lives is Royal Canin's Hydrolyzed, for small dogs. This was because my Maltese started having a skin infection. But, a new vet, who specializes somewhat in skin diseases have us bathing him with a prescription shampoo for that issue and the Hydrolyzed is sooooo expensive. But, of course, they like it, it's around $50 for a 9 pound bag! I'm retired now, so would like to find some thing good that's a little easier on my wallet!
The canned is Natural Balance, I think, the chicken variety. They don't care much for Natural Balance's dry chicken recipe.
Actually, the problem is my Yorkie, as far as flavor goes. My Maltese is like a goat-he'll eat about anything. But, both of the Yorkies I've had have been much more finicky.
Thank you for your recommendations. |
