If I said that birdseed (millet) and animal plasma were cheap additives to dog food, I would be read the riot act so I'm not sure why a continued assault on other dog food ingredients is still permitted. Yes, if you want to say that not home cooking is "taking the cheap option", then that's your opinion. If you really feel that, then I guess that's what you should say, isn't it? You will likely offend some people, but maybe you're fine w/ that.
