My mom has a bobcat that she sees across the road from her house sometimes. She is always worried about her s**tz tzu being out in their fenced yard because of it. They think it took one of their cats a few months back. They also have coyote's and large owls. They think an owl got a small cat a few years ago. They heard it one night and think the owl got something not realizing it was their granddaughter's (my niece) cat.
Living in the country it tough. I live right in a big city. We might see an occasional oppossum or even a random raccoon wander through but not usually anything to worry about with the dogs too much.
