 Hi Everyone
Hi there everybody! I'm so glad I found this great website! I just rescued a 4 year old yorkie this week her name is Gabby. Her previous owner passed away and was living with family of her previous owner until they found her a new home (me!). I am still trying to let her adjust to her own home. They had told me she hardly went outside, never walked on a leash, played with toys, or learned any commands. I am being very patient and working with her every day and am hoping she will start to come around. I took her into the metroparks and today again and she walked all over the fields on the grass (her own route) but it was a great improvement from yesterday she would't walk one step! I have a light weight leash on her around my condo because I read that will help them get used to them when walking around on their own. I have never had a dog before so this is learning process! |
