Lol, I totally had the same experience! Lilah had recently turned one year old and had absolutely never used the potty outside, luckily I had a sandwich bag in my car nearby and ever since then I am an emphatic potty bag carrier and she goes potty outside (and marks like crazy) like it's just a fun thing to do whenever she gets the chance. I actually never intended to train Lilah to be an outside potty dog but I didn't realize that she wouldn't just choose to potty outside when we were out there (like seriously, she used to hold it outside til we got back to her potty pad).
