that is what most people do, they put their name on the box and then a note in the box as well. At that point you want your buddy to know who you are so they can thank you. When you receive your box, it's best to contact your buddy by PM let them know you got the box and about when you will post your thank you thread. If you post you got your box but that you will post photos later everyone will start hounding you, so LOL I now like to keep it to myself until I post my thank you photos, but I do not like to keep my buddy wondering if the box arrived.
Not everyone opens their box the second they get it, for instance I want my husband or a friend to be here to help take photos and video of us opening everything. Some like their children to be there. So if my box arrived right now I will not open it until the earliest this evening, maybe not even till tomorrow.
Everyone is different but many people do a nice job of wrapping and presenting the gifts, so I have always tried to takes pics of it all. I am lucky I work from home so in the last two exchanges I was in I took photos of the mail carrier and Lola, then the box, then the presents in the box, then photos of Lola and I unwrapping them, LOL you should see Lola go to town on boxes she can smell toys in. If Lola get clothes I would take a picture of her wearing it and then just laying on a table. I figure if my buddy went to the trouble of shopping specifically for Lola I want to make sure I properly thank them and let everyone that is interested see ALL the items. All of us in the GE especially those that have done it before really enjoy looking at the thank you threads, so please take lots of photos and if you can not put them on a slide show program, load them into an album under your profile, this will make posting them and also viewing them so much easier.
