Yes they must mean that her white blood cell count was normal. If it is back, then it was not appropriately cleared the first time. This may be because another antibiotic is needed or the antibiotic was not given at the right dose or for long enough. Unless she has an underlying problem, this should clear up with meds. I had this happen to my dog about a year and a half ago, and I was fuming that the infection wasn't properly cleared the first time. Has she had an ultrasound?
