Some people say pig skin is high in fat. I use Oinkies rolled pig skin and they are a slow chew, not really greasy, and they have been fine for my dog who must be on very low fat. I like them better than any other chew.
Iyiyi, well so much for the CET, years back, I am talking 1980 to 1995 pig ears then pig snout was the most popular chew treat, back then there was no internet, no testing on treats. When I discovered pig anything was to fatty I stopped buying them and stuck to cow or goat hooves only. The 3 pups that had for years had mostly pig chews were fine, my last girl never had anything from a pig nothing greasy other then once a month maybe I would give her 1/4 piece of bacon, she developed Pancreatitis. I am so careful with Cody, he gets no table food other then cooked potato or cooked carrot, and the bully stick, he has a hoof that every so often he will chew on that. I would like to try other chew items since he was denied chew treats by prev. owner. Thanks for the CET heads up, don't need anything my boy can choke on.
