I did ask them and they said as long as the vet said she was healthy, that I was ok. I still have my original insurance so that if there is a problem and Healthy Paws won't cover it, I still have coverage. It's just that my deductible is higher, monthly payements are higher and the coverage is only 70% vs. 90%. If I wait, I know that if the vet says there is any problem, I wouldn't have any hope of changing companies. This way, I have a chance at least. I'm hoping it won't be an issue. On the vet report the vet attributes the elevated ALT as most likely toxin exposure. It may all be an effort in futility but I'm hoping I'll be able to make the switch.
