When we find ourselves in the mind numbing, devastating throes of a potentially life altering/threatening diagnosis for our precious little pups, the majority of us "go zombie" and fall onto our vets to guide and direct us through the mine field we find ourselves in the middle of, with that diagnosis.Thank God we have vets that really do strive to stay right up on the cutting edge of signs/symptoms/prognosis/disease protocols/treatment plans/medications/etc.....an absolutely mind boggling wealth of information that even the very best of vets can not possibly know every single nook and crannie of all aspects of the disease. Most of the vets guide and direct us to the absolute best of their knowledge, and when we as advocates for our precious babies, HELP the vets by accumulating and acquiring every bit of knowledge we ourselves can discover, and then sharing that knowledge with our vets and other pet owners, there has never been a diamond mine or a gold mine discovered that could compare in the wealth that is then shared among us all.

Your vet is wonderful....she graciously accepted this information from you, and has incorporated it in her own tool box for the benefit of all her patients. I am always overjoyed to hear of vets that work with their patients and are so open to the necessary give and take between themselves and their patients.

This is a great benefit you have shared with anyone that is encountering the same issues with their beloved pets/family members. Thank you for this priceless nugget!!! I am so happy to hear Charlie is doing OK and I am thrilled you have stumbled into this wonderful path for an affordable way to manage the purchasing power of his meds! What a major savings for you a totally devoted momma, doing everything you can possible do for your little man! This information will be a major help for you and us all actually!!!

We do have a wonderful vet Sarah Hormuth @ Kirkwood Animal Hospital in Missouri. She was more than happy to have this information and she is now sharing it with her other patients, she also has an employee that has a yorkie with a shunt that will now be using this protocol as well so if you have a good vet they should work with you to help your baby in any way possible.

I am a real advocate for my Charlie, his shunting cant be fixed surgically so I do everything I can to help keep him healthy, it is not cheap to do but it is worth it to me to do, so anytime I find a way to save that is still in HIS best interest, I do it. I would never take a "short cut" just to save money without talking to his vet, I do my homework, that's my job as a mamma So please ask your vets!!
