The first time was not nearly as bad and after a visit to the vet some fluids and antibiotics she was fine. The vet ran some blood work but didn't have any answers as to why it happened. This week however I finally got some answers. I was so worried when I rushed her to the vet, they did a complete check up. Xrays, ultrasound, blood work, stool sample everything. I needed answers and didn't care what it would cost. I hated seeing my baby so sick and truthfully I was terrified there was something seriously wrong with her. After over 2 hours at the vet, they told me what they thought was going on hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, she also said once the blood work came back she would know for sure. I received the call yesterday saying that was exactly what happened to Daisy. I was feeding her beneful, she is such a picky eater that was all I could get her to eat. My vet suggested I switch her food because of all of the controversy surrounding beneful. My question to you is this, what is the best food to feed a picky eater who has HGE. I was thinking about making my own food and treats for her but not sure if that is the best choice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My toy poodle went through the same thing and now she doesn't vomit and she has a very good appetite , the vet recommended royal canin fibre response food and it reaaaally suits her situation she loves it and it's good for her stomach so far she has been on it 4 four months and no problems , maybe u should try it
