Default hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE)

Hello. This week Daisy was diagnosed with HGE. what a terrifying experience. She had a mostly all blood BM. This is the second time in 4 months she had this issue. The first time was not nearly as bad and after a visit to the vet some fluids and antibiotics she was fine. The vet ran some blood work but didn't have any answers as to why it happened. This week however I finally got some answers. I was so worried when I rushed her to the vet, they did a complete check up. Xrays, ultrasound, blood work, stool sample everything. I needed answers and didn't care what it would cost. I hated seeing my baby so sick and truthfully I was terrified there was something seriously wrong with her. After over 2 hours at the vet, they told me what they thought was going on hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, she also said once the blood work came back she would know for sure. I received the call yesterday saying that was exactly what happened to Daisy. I was feeding her beneful, she is such a picky eater that was all I could get her to eat. My vet suggested I switch her food because of all of the controversy surrounding beneful. My question to you is this, what is the best food to feed a picky eater who has HGE. I was thinking about making my own food and treats for her but not sure if that is the best choice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
