I know he's got such a hard struggle ahead for the rest of his life but the fact that he's taking on the things he already has since learning of his disease is fairly remarkable to me and surely portends good things ahead in life for this young man of yours. I'm so glad he's enjoying himself and making new friends on his trip! If you, Mom wouldn't mind, give your son a big hug from his "Auntie" Jeanie when he gets back home and pass along how really special I think he is for how well he's managed to face a total lifestyle change that totally crushes some.
