A puppy LEARNS an enormous amount of lessons from MOMMA and SIBLINGS during that period from 8-12 weeks....a younger puppy going to a new home, does not get the training that this pups own mother and siblings teach each other....the puppy will probably survive, but the object of leaving the baby that extra 4 weeks is for all the teaching that the MOTHER DOG imparts on the puppy.....breeders also work with the pup but momma is what counts for a complete, secure, well rounded out emotional and mental development.

I can sit and watch these litters and the training momma does with them....you can actually see the wheels turning in their heads! They need this extra time with momma!!!!!
