Thank you ladies, I appreciate everyone's concern. Although Yazmin put me through quite a fright, it's a huge relief to know figs are safe! I keep a printed list of toxic foods from the ASPCA on my refrigerator but I'm now doing research and compiling a list of safe foods!
Magnus, I thought of giving Yazmin peroxide/water at the time but I didn't feel comfortable giving it to her without a vets advice. I honestly don't remember exactly what I feared Yazmin may have injested once when she was a puppy but to be on the safe side, my vet advised I give her a small amount of peroxide mixed with water. I do remember she vomited immediately but only the peroxide at the time. Geez! This girl's giving me grey hair!
