If not, I use loom bands because you can get like a million for $2. They do not break the hair and are easy to remove. They do break when I remove them, but for the price, I could break one a day and have a years supply at $2.
You absolutely MUST, however, ensure that your dog does not ingest them. Like other hair bows and bands, these can get wrapped around the intestines of the dog if ingested.
SO, hair claws sound like a great idea and move on to bands if the claws aren't suitable. Teddy would grind his head in the carpet with claws, cuz I think he felt the weight of them, but loom bands he loves and waits for me to put them in each morning.

Thanks so much and yes that's so true need to be so careful they don't ingest them. When I got my second little boy the minute he pooped outside the airport I saw bands all over his poop! Seems like he got into a box of them, I rushed him to the vet and nearly had a heart attack but they said if hes passing them along fine to leave him alone and he did 2 days later no more. Hes just a little dare devil even here I had to pull a penny out of his tiny mouth!
