Wow! You certainly have a lot of changes happening at once. This is not the same situation, but I have a 8-10 year old girl who was in a bad breeding situation and then a shelter. She is very protective/jealous. She growls at anyone who comes near me. I have a 3 month old grand daughter and she completely ignores her when she's here. She lays in her bed while I hold the baby. So maybe, maybe, it will work out with you and your baby.

Hopefully a few others will chime in with information. It's good that you are trying to educate yourself before troubles arise.
