Our breed is being ruined by people who are breeding for the sole purpose of making money. There are some very respected breeders who strive to better this breed and do it because of a deep love and appreciation for Yorkies, but they are not your average breeder. Knowing all of the health risks of Yorkies, I believe it's foolish to purchase one from anyone who doesn't have the highest of intentions. In the Northeast, paying $2000 from champion lines would not be unreasonable. I would never support this breeder.

I have not seen this member here for a while, and I don't know if she has Yorkies, but I've heard positive things about Crown Jewels Biewers and Yorkies. I can not speak personally about her, so I would try to find out more about her first. She may be able to recommend other breeders if she doesn't have any Yorkies herself. I'm sure her puppies would be much more than this breeder, but she is striving to produce healthy, happy babies. I'm sure her Biewers conform to the standard since she shows them; I don't know much about her Yorkies, but I remember they were beautiful.

If your friend is looking outside of her immediate area, there are many wonderful breeders. My Katie came from a show breeder just north of Toronto, but without a waiver, puppies must now have a rabies vaccine before they can cross the border.

I'm sure she's willing to travel since most breeders here are terrible so were looking in all of ny, pa,nj,oh (I know we have to be very careful) in these areas pups start at about 1600. When I got sparkle from a coworker (which is why I got a "deal")who retired after 20yrs of breeding. and my friends mom can't find the breeders of her pups ( she probably lost contact thru the years) so for now we'll keep looking. Thanks ladies
