I'm right there with you! My friends & I call it "going junking." We root through the junk to find a treasure. I love it! It is so hit n miss. Sometimes a whole day of junking results in almost nothing, while another days results in great finds.
My house looks coordinated, but in truth, its so eclectic in where i found my stuff. I have an expensive, high-end store bought pieces next to goodwill, & resale store finds.
It was alot easier to find things for my last house, as the house was over three times the size of my current home. I never had to worry if things would fit. Now size is everything and that severely limits my choices. Last weekend I bought two cabinets, one for my room from craigslist, and one for the basement from a resale store. I feel like I significantly overpaid on both, but they both fit the small space I have, and I've been looking for the past year. Now i feel like I have to go junking again this weekend for some great cheap finds, to even out the overall cost. How's that for reasoning? lol
