Yellow may pop too, but it just depends on whether you could deal w/ a strong pop of color and whether yellow is your thing. I'll show you a color, below, I used in my dining room and for my kitchen hearth - it's like a really soft/light pumpkin...it's a really relaxing/soothing color, I find. That color just might work! I was thinking about "oranges." We will be in the house no longer than 5 years, and I want to something with newer colors. Do you have the name of the paint and color.
Your hearth is beautiful, and the color works great with all the textures too. Nice!
