Thanks for posting this! I've been a client of Dr Remillard's since about 2009 and she's made diets for all my dogs. She's never had the same approach and treats each as an individual. I have had her help me in so many ways, I'm forever grateful, and I hope the info in her article helps others. I think she is right that many veterinarians are holding fast and furious to commercial kibble diets and some owners just don't want that. Nothing has irritated me more than one young vet shoving a bag of dog food in my face on a number of occasions when I kept saying I don't want that food- I'm a home cooker. He eventually came around, and was educable as to the possible options, but he didn't do much for the vet-client relationship.
