Both my puppies were microchipped when I received them so I don't have any experience with it. But Pet Supplies Plus is having free microchipping over the next month several times and I was planning on taking my older dachshund to be microchipped as she never was.

After reading this thread, I am having second thoughts on getting her microchipped. She is a 13 year old dog and I wonder if it is any harder to microchip them when they are older? Would they have any more problems?
