I finally have picked a contractor to do my entire kitchen, which I have wanted to do for several years. I have been immobilized with indecision and fear of making mistakes in the most expensive room in the house, and one that I will have to live with forever. It needs to be functional but special because my house is so open you can see it from almost every room.
Finally I am inspired to move ahead with the guidance of a contractor/designer who specialized in kitchens. We will start drawing plans this week, and it will likely take 4-5 months or more to see it complete, as cabinets are custom made in Washington and then have to be shipped by boat to Maui. We won't do the demo until everything is here.
Excited, and still a little nervous. Wish me luck
