I had Sunni spayed a few weeks ago, and I was also told to leave the plastic cone on for 14 days. I got one of the soft collars because I hadn't heard about the onsie idea. She kept deflating it, lol..but it was still stiff enough that she couldn't reach the stitches and she did try! She was literally back to herself overnight, and I hated keeping that thing on her…but I did anyway. I would take it off when she was in my lap and comb her hair which relaxes her now. But the recovery was pretty fast. The hardest part was trying to keep her from excessive playing and jumping!!
