I had same problem with my 2 yorkies. My vet said it could be in number of reasons, but many dogs do it. Petsmart has an "enzyme" chewable tablet that prevents them from eating their stools..forget name, just ask for enzyme to prevent dogs from eating stools. I wouldn't brush your dogs teeth so often & if he/she poops in same area, my vet told me to keep it picked up as often as i can. Often times it's a natural thing to do
