No the vet didn't tell me to use any ointment like lotrimin. When I went to his follow-up appt most of the legions were gone. So they told me to continue using the shampoo. After all red spots were gone I could discontinue using it. I am using an ointment called sulfodene. When I check his skin and he has scratched to the point of red marks I put the sulfodene on him. He then rubs his face and neck on the carpet for a little bit. I check his treats to make sure they do not have soy, wheat, or corn. He is eating Organix food with chicken, peas, and flaxseed. No corn, wheat, grain-free. I just transitioned him to adult dog food. His puppy food was Same brand, no soy, wheat, or corn. I went through his treats and removed any that had chicken. |
