I wonder how much you are able to use the insurance after Sunni had health issues prior? Insurance companies do not cover pre existing conditions and that is a big disadvantage if you don't start with a perfectly healthy dog.
I hope little Sunni does not need the insurance too much in the future though
sounds like she has been through enough already.
Insurance however is very useful and I would always recommend getting it ASAP after getting a dog.
