I paid so much for my yorkies that I didn't want to not be able to afford to pay for any vet bills that crop up because of illnesses or injuries so I got pet insurance as soon as I got them.

I also have Healthy Paws insurance. After researching many insurances, I decided on Healthy Paws because I only have to pay the deductible once a year, not every event and because there is not a limit to what they will reimburse me for every event and/or a yearly reimbursement. With some of the insurances, I found you have to pay the deductible for every injury and some insurances have maximums that they will reimburse you for the surgeries, injuries or illnesses and/or maximum yearly reimbursements so I didn't choose those.

Someone on the forum posted a link with many insurances listed and what their deductibles, reimbursement policies, etc. were. I don't remember the link but maybe someone else will.
