Yes I did get pet insurance for Sunni. I just got it a few weeks ago, after already spending several thousand on vet bills since I got her as a new puppy. I was fully aware that she may have health issues even when I got her and was prepared to care for her. Once I realized that her problems may continue to get worse or new ones may creep up, I decided to get the insurance. And, she had to go to the Vet yesterday!! $500, later I was very happy that I have the insurance. I have to pay the vet and get reimbursed by the company. But yesterdays visit will pretty much make this years payments worth it. I think the rate is lower if you get it when the puppy is young. I'll give you the link to the company I'm using.

Check out several. I went with this one because my company gives us a 20% discount, so my rate is pretty low…I just think of it as another bag of dog food
