It took did take some patience (and LOTS of treats) from both furbutts and myself to get to the point. I'm quite lucky they're food driven though.
As for time it grows out... I'd say it's like any human. Some ppls hair grows out faster than others. I think furbutts are the same way. LOL In the meantime, you can put some Vaseline or something of the sort to weigh it down till it grows out long enough.
