Well, you know you caught me with this one. Currently, I have one sports named animal. Flash Gordy, our Basset is so named b/c my daughter LOVES Jeff Gordon (+Flash from the Dukes of Hazzard). We are in the market for a male Yorkie however, and his name will be Sir Broderick...Brody for short. (Croye, UA q-back) Sir Broderick Khane (adding Kasey Khane) if my father keeps him instead of me.
I had a goat named Malone after Toderick Malone, UA running back, early 90s.
I had fish named Barker, Palmer and Gene, and birds named Joe (as in Namath) and Bear (as in Bryant).
Plus, my deceased bird Piper would say "Roll Tide" and "touchdown."
A mother and daughter bought Trixie's two girls...they are avid NY Yankees fans and named them Mattingly (Mattie) and Jeter.
