I took Luci to the vet this morning for another blood test. My vet spoke with a hemotologist who doesn't think the clotting disorder is a result of the liver disease. He wanted to do a test on factors 1 & 10 to see if she is deficient with those (there are 12 factors that clot the blood). The test is going to be sent to Cornell University for analysis.

My vet is fantastic! I thanked her for her efforts in researching what is wrong with Luci. She said she will continue to do so until we find out what is going on. Right now I'm just taking one day at a time with my chalupa. She's laying on my lap right now...she gets exhausted going to the vet's, especially when she has her blood drawn.

Thank you all for your responses and your information. I am so happy to have found YT. The support I have received here in the past 3 weeks since joining has been absolutely amazing. Since Luci is my first pet ever, I don't know what lies ahead. This is a completely new experience for me so I thank you all for your words of encouragement.
