There is no "best" foods. But look for a company with no recalls or recall that have been promptly fixed.Made in USA or equal. You know what the first 4-6 ingredients are. They should read ex= Chicken,Chicken meal, Duck meal,Duck ect ect. Not = Corn,Corn meal, meat meal, meat byproducts, Corn ect ect... Know what the meat is. And imo no corn at least in the top
