Yes she is my first puppy. I mean I've grown up with dogs but my mom always did the work lol. Now it's my turn to be the mommy. It is in a syringe and I tried getting it behind her teeth in that little pouch at the back of ther mouth, but she refuses to open her mouth and I feel like I'm hurting her when I try to pry her mouth open. She's so small it's hard to get a grip on her and her little snout without hurting her or freaking her out. She's only seen the syringe once and after a few hours after I gave her meds I showed her the syringe and she sniffed at it tried to bite it and then ran away from it. So I think she knows what it is for now. It's a small 1ml syringe so it's not like it's a huge bulky thing to get in her mouth I just cannot get her to sit still or stop fighting me. Any and all advice helps so thank you soo much! I will definitely try again. 4 more days to go! |
