Is he trained to potty outside? And/or does he have access to go outside to potty or have a place to potty inside? Is he/Bella sleeping in a crate/room where they can see the window(s)?

I know we have deer/fox/etc passing by our patio/backyard area from time to time. If it seems like it happens often, I drape a small blanket over the gate so they can't see the window and it's makes their room darker.

I also have a pee pad in their "room" since they don't have access to go outside to potty in the middle of the night. The only other time they'd bark is b/c they're thirsty. So I leave water in their room as well.
