I scoffed when I saw the poll topic -- until I started doing the math: $40 a month for obedience, $40 every 2 months for grooming, $20 in toys every time we go to petco, plus coats, booties, leashes ... Oh, man, I need another job!

And I don't even wanna talk about vet bills!

One comforting thought when I was adding up costs for Jack's surgery. Over a year's time, it came out to a little over $3 a day. He's worth it.
