If you Google Labradoodle, it mentions an allergen-free guide dog. Labs and Poodles are brilliant dogs and the mix I think would be good.
I am glad to hear your son is doing well with all that has gone on. Has he given the guitar a try yet? Your husband will come around at his own pace. Everyone is different how they cope with unexpected things. Hugs to you and your family!
