There are many laws already on the books to protect animals. They just need to be enforced better, and the witch hunting needs to stop. Adding more laws just bogs down the system and opens the doors to abuse of the people who are trying to live peacefully with their animals.

I can speculate that what happens in Canada does not matter to Americans. But really all boundaries start to blur and blend when or with certain subjects.
Maybe make dogs a protected species similar to your Bald Eagle...
