It seems like it was the neighbors fault though, in all fairness to the pup. You had her tethered on your property and he approached her. I'm not saying its ok that she bit him, but he invaded her safe space, and if you weren't there to make her feel safe, she may have felt scared. I found a funny sign that I put on the outside of my deck, which is completely enclosed with a gate..so unless someone is trespassing they are warned. It says ankle biters on guard..I wrote on it, please don't approach or pet the dogs, without the owner present. I've never had a problem. People probably think I'm overcautious, but thats not my problem, lol. Good luck!! I've started puppy training with my little girl and so far its great. Its just a group class but its good for her to be around other puppies and people that she doesn't know. Naturally, she's the least timid of all, haha. She goes up to everyone as if she expects them to adore her, like mommy does.
