Mary Ellen I quite agree with you about 8 weeks being an ideal age. Quite honestly the idea of a pup aged 4 wks leaving their mother scares me! Our two were both 8 wks and whereas I couldn't wait for them to come home to us, I wouldn't have wanted them earlier, yorkies are so small and can dehydrate and all sorts when young. Not that I'm critising anyone for having them earlier of course not when they have good homes with people from this site lol! BUT they could go to unsuitable homes too and they really are babies at that age and need their mother - ahhh!! Ana xx |
