Default A different potty training question

I got my girl, Faith, a little over two months ago. She's 10 moths old now and approximately 3 pounds. I knew she wasn't fully potty trained when I got her but I felt she was in good hands with me. She isn't my first dog and I've successfully trained three others over the years (two Maltese and a Boxer).

My concern for Faith is that I don't want to confuse her. She is so tiny that if the grass is damp at all she is soaked when we come back in. Plus I have to carry her to the middle of the yard and even then she doesn't go most of the time. I keep an excellent schedule for her, but I can not make her go outside when its wet.

I have used potty pads with a little success. I also just purchased a Fresh Patch last week to see if she takes to it better than the pads. Depending on the weather I will either bring her to the potty pad/Fresh Patch or outside. (I don't move her indoor potty place so that stays consistent) My question is in the initial phases, am I doing her more harm by going to two places? I know Yorkies can be stubborn and I have all the patience in the world for her. I just wonder if I'm confusing her? Should I do something different?

I appreciate you time
