The core vaccines are rabies, distemper, and parvo -- the rest are NON-CORE vaccines and are often not necessary. I never get the bordetella vax.

After a dog is 5-7 yrs old or so, many people are electing to no longer get the parvo or distemper vaccines as at that point, they pretty much have lifetime immunity, as evidenced by the DOI studies.
